Before this goes much further ... before the fury mounts, before the froth starts appearing at the corners of a greater number of mouths, before ever more hanks of hair are ripped from roots in over-indulgent bouts of angst, before impassioned slinging of mud and insults begins in ernest, before every adoption-related web group and forum becomes awash in righteous indignation ... I would like to point out, yet once again, that media renditions of celebrity adoptions are not necessarily reflections of reality.

This time, of course, the hullabaloo, kafuffle, hoopla, clamor, hubbub, upheaval, commotion ... whatever ... is Angelina-based.

We went through this not long ago over the Madonna adoption, and my reaction to this latest media feeding frenzy is about the same as it was then: ho hum, with a side of salt.

Others, however, have already grabbed the 'news' and are running with it like a mutt with a purloined t-bone.

You know what, all you out there with strident opinions? You know diddley squat about what's going on in the Jolie-Pitt family. What you read in the media, believe it or not, is NOT the true scoop.

AND, and this is a big and, it's none of your business!

Just because you've spent time in your living rooms with characters Angelina has portrayed in films ... that being her job and all ... and read every word printed about her in People magazine and whatever other squeeze-the-celeb-for-every-juicey-drop publication you can buy at your local checkout counter ... does not mean you know anything about her. You may think you do, but you really, really don't.
